Police detective Maria cannot enjoy the summer of the century, which arouses everybody in every sense in Vienna. First, there is the separation from her life partner Karl, who has been enjoying the "dolce vita" with a young girl for several months. Then, there is her new partner whom she dislikes from the bottom of her heart. And finally, she has to inquire into the murder of famous cabaret artiste Barbara Stein. Not only was the body horribly mutilated by the murderer, but the investigation leads detective Kouba right into the langourous world of swinger clubs - which definitely disturbs her coolness. And which also presents her with a lot of suspects, because it seems obvious that one of Barbara Stein's lovers could not stand her engagement to an eccentric university professor. Or is the murderer the fiancé himself, who could not handle the turbulent life of his sweetheart? In any case, an affair that turns around Maria Kouba's life. |
